Daily Specials

Make plans to join our table in downtown Cisco. Every day you can get a delicious homemade meal that has been made fresh that morning. Our lunch options include beans and cornbread. We always have a quiche and a couple other dishes available. You can check out our Facebook page and Instagram account for today’s special.
Be sure to leave room for a piece of homemade pie. People keep telling us ‘you just can’t find pie like this anymore.’ That’s exactly why Kerry insisted that we serve pie! The meat we use in our lunch is from our farm or a farm we know and have visited (except for the bacon in some of the quiche). This includes the beef, chicken and pork. We take the extra step to source meat we would feed our family. We also make all the beef and chicken stock used in every recipe.

Artisan Baked Goods

Where can you buy a piece of homemade pie? Or sourdough bread made with just flour, water and salt? Or treat yourself to a warm cinnamon roll, fresh out of the oven?
All of our baked goods are made by hand in small batches. We love to try new recipes, so our offerings will vary every week. Come by our cafe in downtown Cisco, TX and sit a spell.

Local Meats and Raw Milk Cheese

All of the meat and cheese we sell will be from local Texas farms. We have met the farmers and visited most of the farms. The beef will be grass-fed and grass-finished. The chicken will be raised on pasture and fed a non-GMO feed. The pigs are born and raised on our farm and live their entire life outside in the sunshine. Our sausage and bratwurst products are MSG-free. The cows milk cheese is from Dublin, Texas.

Fresh Roasted Coffee

Kerry has been roasting coffee at home for about five (5) years and has wanted to roast on a larger scale. Our Cisco, TX cafe and market give him that opportunity. Coffee will be roasted weekly and sold in 12 ounce bags. We will also offer brewed hot and cold coffee. We source our beans from Sweet Marias/Coffee Shrub.

Seasonal Fruits and Vegetables

You will always find some chemical-free Slowpoke produce at the store. Blackberry season is over for 2019, but we will have onions, garlic and okra available through the summer. In the fall, we hope to have sweet potatoes for sale. We will use all of these vegetables in our lunch recipes. We have pickled okra available now and will have jam, jelly and salsa soon. We’ll keep you updated on Facebook.

Be a Slowpoke! T-shirts, hats and shopping bags will be available. Thanks for wearing or gifting our Slowpoke merchandise.
