Slowpoke Store

Late in 2017, we talked about joining the growing development occurring in Cisco. Maybe we should purchase an old building downtown and open a farm store. After that initial discussion, things moved very quickly.

We bought 709 Conrad Hilton in March of 2018. The building was an empty shell, having been rehabbed by the Cisco Economic Development Corporation. Our limited investigation, leads us to believe the building was built in 1906 and was originally a meat and grocery store.

It took us six (6) months, from purchase date to opening day. We worked hard and had a lot of fun with friends and co-workers. Here are some pictures we took along the way.

Local meat (grass-fed beef, pork, pasture chicken) and raw milk cheese

Seasonal Fruits and Vegetables – In 2019 we will have garlic, onions, okra and sweet potatoes in the fall.

Fresh roasted coffee beans and hot and cold crew coffee

Artisan baked goods, bread, pie by the slice, cinnamon rolls, cookies…etc.
