Why Grass Fed Beef?

Why grass-fed? The answer is pretty simple; grass-fed is better for YOU, for the COW and for the ENVIRONMENT. The definition of grass-fed can be misleading, just ask your farmer if they ‘finish’ their cows with grain.

FOR YOU: Just google why grass-fed is better and you’ll learn the following: 1) Heart healthy omega-3 fatty acids, 2) More CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) which is thought to reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer, while helping with immunity and inflammation, 3) Increased antioxidant vitamins, such as vitamin E, and 4) Lower in fat and calories.

FOR THE COW AND ENVIRONMENT: Ruminant animals (e.g. cows and lambs) were not created to eat grain, especially in large amounts. Plus all corn (except for organic) is a GMO variety and is raised with a lot of chemicals.
